I ate dinner with two people from Slovakia. They spoke Slovak and we listened to the regional music of the country. I asked them about the country and they commented that Slovakia is surrounded by six countries. They had both visited Poland and they said that Slovakia is culturally similar to the Czech Republic.
Euros are used in Spain. Most places also accept credit cards without having to make a minimum purchase, but some places are strictly cash.
This week, I bought a 500ml bottle of water for 0.89 euros.
The best meal that I had this week was tacos at a Mexican restaurant. The menu had many pork options, but I selected the steak and chorizo tacos. For dessert, I had a tres leches cake and it actually tasted like the kind I normally eat. The salsa was the only thing that I could identify that was significantly different from back home. The hottest salsa they had was called valiant, but it turned out to be very mild for my taste.
