The most fun activity I participated in this past week as a walking tour of Berlin. We got to visit some of Berlin's most important monuments, and my tour guide taught me information about the sites we saw that I wouldn't have otherwise known. I also got to meet other travelers on the tour. Lots of people on the tour were also from the U.S., but I met one woman who was from Somalia!
This past week I mostly read my students' homework assignments. I asked them to write about the role English plays in their daily lives outside the classroom. Lots of them said that they use English when messaging their friends over text or Facebook. They also said they practice their listening skills by watching movies in English.
I didn't play any games or sports this week-- just walked and hiked a lot!
