We are still speaking German. I am enjoying the challenge of living largely in another language. And my German keeps on improving!
I'm still in Germany so we are still using the euro.
I bought a small bottle of water for 1 euro at the market.
I didn't get a chance to eat a meal while I was in Wieck, but I did enjoy some delicious DDR Eis (ice cream). Similar to soft-serve ice cream in the U.S.A., this basic (and cheap!) ice cream is finally being sold in Germany again after the cold winter months.
I haven't really listened to any music this week. When I am walking home from school, I always keep my headphones out, so I can listen to the birds and the sounds of spring!
The most fun activity I did this week was to travel outside of Greifswald's innercity and into a nearby village called Wieck. Wieck is an old fishing village that is famous for its seafood and its sailboats. I visited the top sights in the area, including the beach (even though it was too cold to go in the water!) I also went to the market.
