The shawarma contained many different types of vegetables, including cabbage, pickles, cucumber, tomatoes and peppers. On top of all the fresh produce was the most amazing tahini sauce! For only 25 shekels, or about $7.00, I had a great Israeli meal!
While walking around the city, I like to listen to instrumental and classical music.
I loved walking through the Mahane Yehuda Market, a marketplace in Jerusalem, to see all the fresh fruits and vegetables sold by the vendors. As well as being a great place to purchase fresh produce, Mahane Yehuda also has many small restaurants, including an ice cream shop!
Although I was able to visit Jerusalem and enjoy learning about the Old City, I still had homework for my classes. This week, I read a biology paper that talked about proteins, a topic that we are studying in class.
Although I have never been an athletic person, living in Tel Aviv has made me lead a more active lifestyle. Riding my bike has become a significant part of living in Tel Aviv!
At the entrance of the Old City, near Jaffa Gate, we purchased Jerusalem bagels and ate them with za'atar spice!
