My Path to Ecuador

It was my favorite day of the year! In high school, I studied both French and Spanish, and I even got to visit Paris for the first time with my mom. It was so fun and educational to be in another country where people didn’t speak English, and I got to try communicating in another language on my own. The excitement of having a successful conversation with someone in another language made me so happy and proud of myself. That’s when I decided I wanted to go live and work in another country.

Today, I am a volunteer for the United States Peace Corps, and I am teaching English to kids just like you in Ecuador! I have learned so much about Spanish, Ecuadorian culture, Ecuadorian food and even about daily life here. I am so happy living here in Ecuador and learning everything I can about this beautiful country. I am so excited to teach you all about Ecuador and my experiences living here!
