Day in the Life of Ecuadorian Eighth Graders!

Introduction:

As you know, I teach middle school and high school students English here in Ecuador. These kids are from a different culture to yours, and although in some ways they live similarly to us in the U.S.A., they also have some differences! I asked some questions to five students in one of my eighth grade classes to learn more about what they do during a normal day here in Ecuador.  The answers may be a little goofy, but it's because they wrote their anwers in Spanish, and I needed to translate them into English for you! I hope you enjoy learning about the life of kids here in Ecuador!

What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?:

Juan: For breakfast, I drink coffee with hot chocolate and milk mixed in. For lunch I eat rice with a salad, and for dinner I eat a soup with habas (a bean found in Ecuador).

Tayler: For breakfast, I eat coffee with bread and scrambled eggs. (Tayler did not say what they eat for lunch and dinner).

Richard: For breakfast, I have just a agua de remedio ("remedy water" or tea), for lunch I eat chicken and rice, and for dinner I eat rice with an egg.
