I am here in Indonesia to learn Indonesian language and culture, and to teach English (as a language) and share American culture. I will tell people in the U.S. about my experiences in Indonesia through this blog and in my community.
The main hope we Fullbrighters have is that by meeting people who are different from us, getting to know them and learning from and serving them, we can live better with those around us who are not like us, and build better relationships in our local communities and with people who live around the world. My hope for you, dear readers, is that these blogs have been a little glimpse into some of the ways that people live in my host community, as a way of getting to know them, and to spark your interest in getting to know different people around you and becoming friends with them. Like with many books, may your exploring through these blogs and other stories help you discover the world with wonder and happiness.
