Hi, I'm Philip, and I'm a student at the University of Glasgow in Dumfries, Scotland. I'm thrilled you'll be joining me as I explore Scottish culture and beyond. Let's go!
In the Southwest region of Scotland near the coast, Dumfries experiences a relatively mild winter compared with the rest of Scotland.
Settling in was made easy by connecting with other international students. Getting to know people in the community posed more of a challenge.
I get around Dumfries primarily by walking, but there are also good bus and train services available.
