You can sip on a drink (I always get a caramel macchiato!) while hanging out with animals like cats, dogs, meerkats, hedgehogs, raccoons—even sheep! This week, I went to a sheep café called Thanks Nature Café, where I met two fluffy sheep named Lulu and Rara. They were adorable!
I also visited Seoul Forest Park, where I saw tons of dogs. Some were walking happily with their owners, while others were living the fancy life—being pushed around in strollers or wearing stylish little outfits with matching shoes. These dogs are fashion icons!
This past Saturday, March 22nd, I went biking in Seoul Forest Park, and it was incredible! The park is HUGE and filled with trees, flowers, and even a special area for feeding deer. Fun fact: a long time ago, this park used to be a hunting ground for kings, then it became a horse racing track, then a golf course, and now it's a beautiful green space for everyone to enjoy. I loved seeing all the cherry blossom trees, tulips, and poppies. There's even a bee garden and a butterfly greenhouse! It felt like stepping into a fairytale.
The cherry blossoms are about to bloom! In South Korea, they usually pop up between late March and mid-April, but they only last about a week before the petals start falling like pink snow. This Saturday, March 29th, I'm going to the Jinhae Gunhangje Cherry Blossom Festival. For ten days only, the usually off-limits Jinhae naval base is open for visitors to view the streets lined with cherry blossoms and enjoy musical and cultural performances. I can't wait!
