Hola! (Hello!) Or should I say adios (goodbye)? It is hard to believe, but our time together is coming to an end. Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to travel. I would dream of standing at the top of the Eiffel Tower, admiring Big Ben, exploring the Colosseum... For a long time, I thought those dreams would always remain dreams. When you have never traveled before, it can seem so far out of reach as to be impossible. But now I am here, in Spain, in Europe, and I have realized that not all dreams need be unreachable.
I have moments every day where I look up at a piece of spectacular architecture or at one of the many postcards I have collected and can scarcely believe my eyes. There are many days here that are unbelievable and dreamlike. But if studying abroad has taught me one thing, it is that we have the power to make our dreams a reality.
Together we have arrived in Barcelona, explored Park Güell, Girona and Madrid, tried calçots and successfully taken the Metro. We have gone to a soccer game at the famous Camp Nou stadium, gotten to know my host family and learned new words in Spanish.
