I stayed in the city this week, but I took some time to explore a few new bookstores about an hour from my apartment.
So far, the other students and I have primarily stayed in Almaty. In a few weeks though, we're taking a field trip to a canyon that's a few hours away!
I walked everywhere this week! My bus card ran out of money, and I still haven't put more on it. Consequently, I have been doing a lot of walking.
This week the other students and I had the opportunity to visit a water factory. We learned all about the company's processes, from extracting water from the ground, to creating and filling the bottles it is sold in. The trip was really informative and I learned a lot!
That was pretty much it for this week! I'm looking forward to getting some more travel in during the coming weeks!
