There are a lot of different ways to get around the city! Much like any big city in the United States, people here may choose to walk, take the bus, take the metro or drive to wherever they are going. I tend to do a lot of walking since I live so close to my university, but the bus is also super nice. I haven't used the metro yet, but I have heard good things from friends who rely on it to get to school.
Recently, I rode in a car for the first time here. Since the bus and metro are so good, I really haven't had much of a reason to use a car yet. However, last week, I ended up pretty far from my house and decided it would be quicker to get home by car. Uber and Lyft don't exist here, but a pretty similar app, called Yandex Go, allows people to request rides home in a similar manner. I had a really positive experience with Yandex Go and will definitely use it again the next time I need to get somewhere in a hurry!
