This week, I did not travel very far, only about 12 miles to the center of Daegu; but I went multiple times! The subway is very fast and efficient, here, so it only took me about 20 minutes to get there.
I have traveled to a couple of different cities! I have been to 수원시 (Suwon-si), a suburban city near Seoul, and 청주시 (Cheongju-si), a big city, about 2 hours south of Seoul. I also moved from 괴산읍 (Goesan-eup), the last city I was living in, to 경산시 (Gyeongsan-si), which was about a 3-hour car ride south.
This week, I took the 지하철 (chi-ha-chul), or subway and the bus; I also walked a lot. Although the subway and bus can get very crowded, they have frequent schedules, so it is not hard to use public transportation to get to all of the places you need to get to in reasonable time. Two map apps. in Korea, called Naver and Kakao, work very well. Google and Apple maps do not work, here, so you must have these Korean versions to get around.
