Ramadan Under Quarantine

People who practice must wait until the sun is down to begin eating, and it is also strictly prohibited to eat once the sun rises. As an outsider to Islam, it is always nice to take a step back and consider how nature and the religion are intertwined in this sense. For instance, the moon is always observed throughout Ramadan, with the moon determining when Eid, the celebration after Ramadan, will happen. Eid is usually held the day after Ramdan has ended. I think it is very beautiful for a religion to be so tied to nature, because it shows an acceptance that many things in this life are not under our control.

What about you? Do you ever fast? If so, why? And if not, how would you feel about going without food during daylit hours one month out of the year?
