This week I traveled to Asilah, Chefchaouen, and Tangier. 62+42+40 miles = 144 miles in total!
That's hard to count. I have traveled quite a bit. I travel to Tangier regularly, I've been to Chefchaouen three times now, and I've been to Asilah twice. I've also been to Fes, Meknes, Moulay Idriss, Rabat, Kentira, Casablanca, Marrakech, and the Sahara desert. I left Boston in the beginning of September. It's 3,470 miles from Boston to Tetouan so I've traveled at least that much!
I mostly took taxis around. In Morocco, they have "grand-taxis" which take you between cities for a fixed price. When I go to Tangier, I usually take a grand-taxi for 30 dirham. The grand-taxis can squeeze up to six people in one car!
Since I live here, I'm biased and think the north is the best region in Morocco. It is very interesting to learn about the Rifian cultures and the Spanish influences here. What do you think? If you could go to Tetouan, Tangier, Asilah, or Chefchaouen, which one would you choose?
