I traveled to Metzingen this weekend, which is approximately 25 km away from Tübingen.
I have traveled to Stuttgart (45 km), Ludwigsburg (71 km), Reutlingen (18 km), Marburg (330 km), Metzingen (25 km), Köln (400 km), and München (260 km). Altogether, I have traveled 1,149 km or 698 miles.
This week, I got around by bus, bike, and walking. Tübingen is a great city for bikes and pedestrians with its many bike lanes and sidewalks.
The most interesting place that I visited this week was Outlet City in Metzingen. The outlet mall was very similar to the outlet malls in America, but it was interesting to see the differences in popular brands and stores. For example, my friend told me that a store called Douglas is Germany’s equivalent of Sephora.
Christmas Market season is approaching! I will travel to Nürnberg next week to visit the famous Christkindlesmarkt. The following week I will travel to Salzburg, Austria to also see its Christmas Markets and explore the city. Did you know that the Sound of Music was filmed in Salzburg? I will rewatch the movie this week in preparation for the trip!
