Hello Everyone!
This past weekend, I went to a retreat with five Moroccans and five Americans from different backgrounds. At the retreat, we talked about the differences between Moroccan and American cultures. We talked about religion, family and lots of other topics.
Our facilitator asked us a question and gave an opportunity for everyone to express their own opinions. It was really interesting to hear everyone's' stories and to see the similarities and differences between Americans and Moroccans.
In our circle, we provided a safe space for everyone to share their ideas without being scared of being judged. It was really nice to know that there were different opinions about a topic in the group, but it was also nice to see that there were similarities. This exercise helped me to appreciate the perspectives of others while feeling confident to share my own beliefs.
