Then, I learned that because of the tropical climate, rice grows very well in Thailand. In fact, Thailand is one of the places that rice is originally from! Because of this, rice has a lot of cultural importance in Thailand. Thai people, especially farmers, are proud of their rice! Once I learned these things about rice, I felt happier about eating it often when I was there. I did sometimes miss American breakfasts though!
