Trufis and Micros: How to Get Around in Bolivia!

If I want to get a little snack before my class, I know where to ask the bus to stop (one block before my regular stop) and if there's only standing room left, I know where I like to stand.

Is this way of getting around connected to the culture and environment, How?:

Trufis and micros are absolutely a part of Bolivian culture and the environment. First, everyone looks out for everyone. If the bus is full and someone at the back is asking for a stop, those of us at the front will tell the driver. If someone older comes on the bus and there are no seats left, someone will always offer their seat. Second, it's fast, it's colorful and there's a lot of honking involved. That is also very much like Bolivia. The drivers are trying to go as fast as they can with as many people in the bus as they can fit inside. Transportation is noisy here, with a lot of honking, moving between lanes, and listening to music.
