It makes me miss seeing showtimes on the train back home.

How do people get around?:

People get around using the Ubahn mostly as it offers the quickest option. There's also another train option called the S-Bahn and its sort of an above-ground train that resembles something more of an Amtrak train (I've only taken this twice). People also take the tram and the bus. I have some friends who live in apartments that are far away from any train station, so they have to take the tram to go anywhere. Lucky for me, I can take any and all forms of transportation.

How did I feel when I tried this way of getting around?:

I really love the tram because it gives me the opportunity to look out the window and people watch and explore Vienna without having to walk. I sometimes make my journey home from school 3-4 times as long just because I want to take a relaxing tram ride. I like to listen to podcasts and music when I'm on the tram and it feels like a chance to unwind.

Is this way of getting around connected to the culture and environment, How?:

Vienna has bike lanes all over the city and these aren't like the ones in New York, where cyclists ride smushed in between buses and parked cars. No, these are bike lanes that take up as much space as the car lanes do and they're separated to ensure the safety of bike riders. A lot of people bike everywhere because it's an accessible option. I also see people riding down the bike lane on electric scooters often. I think the rise of bike lanes in Vienna is an initiative to go green and stop the use of cars.
