Daily Happenings of My Younger Neighbor

Introduction:

Shakshi is eight years old and she goes to school nearby. She is my neighbor and lives above one of my friend's houses with her immediate family. I told her that kids in New York were really interested in what she had to say!

What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?:

Hmm, I have omelet, subji (veggies), roti, and bread for breakfast. For lunch and dinner I have daal (lentils), chowal (rice) and subji.

What is your house like?:

I have one brother, a mom and a dad. We have one bedroom, one kitchen and one bathroom. We all share the bedroom. The walls of my house are brown. We don't have any decorations in our house.

What chores do you have at home?:

I clean the dishes with my mom.

What jobs do your parents have?:

My mummy is a school teacher and my papa is a sweet maker.

What time does school start, and what time do you go home?:

I start school at 8:30 AM and come home at 1:30 PM.

How do you get to school? Are you allowed to go to school by yourself?:

I walk to school. I can go by myself. My school is next to my house.

Where do you eat lunch? What is your favorite food?:

My mummy makes my lunch and I bring it to school.
