Weather for a typical week in February and March was fair and sunny. It was only very windy when there was a storm approaching from afar. Whenever that happened, the sky would become unclear and dusty, and I wouldn’t be able to see the mountains on the horizon that I could usually see.
During my time in Israel, I saw foxes running around the area at night as well as several different kinds of birds and bugs. I also had friends that saw a scorpion, but fortunately, due to the cool nights, these animals were a rare sight, and I never saw one with my own eyes. But I did see donkeys strolling among the date palms of the kibbutz—these creatures were very curious whenever we humans passed by and would come up to the fence to look at us!
