The reddish mountains were a beautiful sight to see, and gazing down ancient copper mine shafts and wondering how it was like to mine centuries ago was definitely a fun experience.
We had to be very conscious of what the time was when we went out to take the bus to Eilat. Our first time going there, we went Friday morning, and we had to be 100% sure we knew the bus timetables well. This was due to the fact that once Shabbat starts at Friday sundown, there is no public transportation in Israel. Since some of us were not used to this custom, it was a little stressful at first, but we grew used to it and planned our trips before Shabbat would start.
