Going to school in Granada

Introduction:

My host brother, Pablo, finished school last year and I interviewed him about his time in school. He remembered a lot from when he was younger and was happy to share his experience with students in the United States. Thank you Pablo!

What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?:

For breakfast, I ate cereal because it was fast and easy. For lunch, I went home everyday and ate lunch with my mom. We did not have lunch at school. For dinner, it was different everyday, like lunch, but usually a lot meat and bread.

What is your house like?:

It's the same apartment I live in right now. I always had my own room and bathroom.

What chores do you have at home?:

I did not have chores because we always had a lady that cleaned our house which is still true today.

What jobs do your parents have?:

I was raised by a single mother and she is a secretary for a business that works with transportation.

What time does school start, and what time do you go home?:

My school started at 8 and I went home at 2:30 which was right on time for lunch

How do you get to school? Are you allowed to go to school by yourself?:

I walked to and from school everyday because it is very close to my house, only a few hundred meters.
