Hello everyone! My name is Sarah Olson, or as written in Bulgarian, Сара Олсън. I grew up as a military kid, so I have moved from place to place my whole life. I was born in California, and that is where most of my family is from, but I have also lived in Colorado and Texas. I also have lived on military bases in Japan and Turkey.
Military bases are like small towns where a whole community of Americans live together in another country and work for the U.S. government. On base there are many American store options, such as a grocery store, movie theater, bowling alley, school, department store and gas station. As soon as you step off base though, you are in a whole new world and culture!
Thanks to my childhood of moving around so much, I learned how to make friends wherever I go, even though changing homes and schools was really hard at times. Because I had so much practice moving, though, I ended up going to college halfway across the world from my family. It was not easy to be so far from them, but I had an amazing time attending Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida.
