Здравейте (zdraveite)! My name is Sarah Olson, and I am 22 years old. I grew up as a military kid, so I have lived all over the United States and the world! Right now my family lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, but I have also lived in Florida, Texas, Colorado, California, Japan and Turkey. Because my family moved around so much, one of my favorite things to do is explore new places. Some of my other hobbies are photography, hiking, and playing instruments.
For college, I went to Palm Beach Atlantic University to study Elementary Education with a focus on reading and teaching English as a second language. During my senior year, I did two semesters of student teaching with 4th graders, many of whom were learning English still. I loved working with them and decided I wanted to keep teaching English to people from other countries. I applied for the Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship program in Bulgaria and was so excited to be accepted. Now I teach English to 8th to 12th graders in Shumen, Bulgaria, and cannot wait to tell you about all the adventures I will have while I'm here.
