This week I saw a seagull flying around Shumen, which was surprising to me because I live an hour inland from the sea. I wasn't expecting seagulls to fly all the way here! Most of the time, I just see pigeons. They love to hang out on my balcony and wake me up in the morning with their cooing conversations.
Many of the trees have lost their leaves by now, but there are a few trees that are still hanging on to their yellow leaves. The chestnut trees are mostly bare, but the willow trees are still changing colors. I will be sad when all of the trees have lost their leaves and everything will be bare and brown.
