On my walk home from class one day, I wandered a little out of my normal path. I ended up walking right past the Dublin Castle, which is where the British government ruled Ireland from 1171 to 1922. Today, the castle has a cool series of buildings painted in funky colors.
In the last few weeks, I've noticed fewer tourists in Dublin. Most people like to visit Ireland when it's warmer and less rainy, from May through October. Now that the tourists are mostly gone, Dublin feels more like home.
