After dinner on Friday night, my friends and I played a round of Jenga at a local friend's apartment in London. To play Jenga, you start with a stack of tightly packed wooden sticks. One by one, you pull sticks out of the tower and place them back on top, until the tower falls over. This round, my friends and I did a better job than usual. The tower got so tall and rickety that we were amazed it didn't fall!
While in London, my friend took us to the Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, a giant Christmas market in the center of London. This market was unlike anything I'd ever seen. There were amusement park rides all lit up in rainbow colors. There were endless vendors selling German sausages, warm drinks and stocking-stuffer gifts. There were crazy decorations and live singers, and there were probably thousands of people packed into the pathways of the market! While the noise and the lights and the crowds were overwhelming, I was amazed by the market. It felt as if I were walking through a dream.
