The World is Yours!

Although I think about my family and friends back home a lot and I miss them very much, I feel as if I've truly found my place here in Germany. I've had to make many cultural adjustments, but those are just things that come with living in a new place. Even if it may take a little bit longer to get settled and feel 100% a part of the country, it is something I'm willing to work towards to truly become a citizen of the world and call two places home.

If you've ever known anyone to move from one country to another, I'm sure they've felt similarly to how I feel right now. Maybe you are also thinking of leaving the country one day to explore another place to work or live. Maybe you've even taken a trip out of the country with your family already. My advice would be to take every chance you get to see the world around you. You'll never regret learning about a new country or culture, or even about a new neighborhood, city or state in your own country!

I hope you have all had an enjoyable time following my last few months in Essen, and I really hope that I've inspired you to think about traveling the world. My last piece of advice for you is that if you have a goal that you really want to achieve, go for it. No matter how small or big the goal, or how different and scary doing something new seems, it will be worth it in the end because you will learn so much!
