In the cities, lunch is usually more expensive. In Plato, I can find lunch for 10-15,000 pesos. In Santa Marta, I am lucky to find lunch for less than 25,000 pesos. Of course, international foods are also more expensive because some ingredients are harder to import (I ate Mexican, Indian and American food). However, I tend to splurge in the cities because I don’t have as many options in Plato.
