Traveler Bio

Hello! Hola! I'm Sierra, a 25-year-old who grew up in Crystal Lake, Illinois, a northwest suburb of Chicago. I love to cook and eat food with my family, so Chicago will always have a special place in my heart with its deep-dish pizza, Chicago-style hot dogs, and Italian beef! I also love to watch movies, do yoga, read, and paint with watercolors.

I studied international business, marketing, and Spanish at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for two years before transferring to Saint Louis University-Madrid (Spain) after a life-changing semester studying abroad. Studying abroad had always been something I wanted to do in college, and because it was a requirement for my degree, it was a win-win! Here’s a secret: before going to Spain, I had never left the United States! After my semester abroad, I decided that living in Spain would help me reach my goals of improving my Spanish and adding the “international” to my international business classes.

I now live in Mexico City, Mexico as a Fulbright Binational Business scholar, where I work in digital marketing at a local company and take MBA classes at Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México. I’m excited to share my experience in Mexico with you. Let’s go! Vámonos!
