German Transportation

Is this way of getting around connected to the culture and environment, How?:

In public transportation in Germany, you must be very quiet. No one talks to each other or on their phones while on the trains and buses. In general, I have noticed that Germans are very quiet people and do not like hearing about the lives of others. Five minutes before you get to your stop, it is apropriate to head to the doors, so that you can get off as soon as the train gets to the station. This is because the Germans are very efficient. They do not like it when time is wasted. The trains are also very clean compared to our neighboring country of France. Germans really prides themselves on cleanliness. Many factors of German lifestyle blend into their transportation culture.
