I listened to lots of Reggaeton! It's an upbeat type of Latin music popular around all parts of Latin America. You may be familiar with it, as it's starting to creep its way into popular music in the U.S., too! Do the artists Bad Bunny, J Balvin, or Rosalía sound familiar to you?
My roommate Trini and I practiced speaking English and Spanish together! We always speak Spanish in the apartment, but sometimes we'll sit down and take the time to converse and correct each other to practice our languages with more intention.
Related to my research, I read lots about how Chilean schools are dealing with COVID-19. It was interesting to learn about how they're handling the situation here and Chile and compare it with the responses of schools around the globe.
Before quarantine began, I made a Chilean friend, Chris, who teaches yoga. We've been doing yoga Skype sessions on Sunday mornings! It's great because not only do I get to practice yoga and do some exercise, but I also learn lots of yoga-related Spanish vocabulary simply by listening to him lead our practice.
Today, during my virtual Spanish class, I felt an earthquake! Chileans call them temblores, meaning small earthquakes. It's really common here, and this one lasted for probably ten seconds and registered as a 4.8 on the richter scale.
