The furthest I traveled was to the last stop on my tram line, Odysseum. It's thirty minutes from my dorm. Here, there are a ton of shops and places to eat. I needed to pick up a few warmer things for my trips over fall break which is why I headed off to shop!
Other than the 4000 mile journey from the USA to Montpellier, the furthest I have traveled so far has been to Barcelona, Spain which is over two hundred miles away from Montpeller, headed west. The train ride was three and a half hours, but with a delay, five.
Every morning I walk about twenty minutes to the university. The weather has been really nice lately, so I haven't been breaking a sweat like I was during the summer. I took the tram into the city center on Thursday to get lunch. The tram is like a subway or metro system, but above ground. It's really simple to navigate and only takes me around 10 minutes to get into the city center!
The most interesting place I visited this week was a hospital. Unfortunately, my friend has gotten sick, but she is at least now on track to getting better! My friends and I went to visit her, and it was really a different experience.
