The furthest I traveled this week was the seven miles from my house to the campus where my university is located. However, last weekend, I traveled 621 miles from Córdoba to Santiago de Compostela, which is the capital of the Galicia region located in the northwestern corner of Spain.
I have traveled 4,468 miles from Iowa to Córdoba.
I walk everywhere in Córdoba, and that is one of my favorite parts of living here. There are a lot of parks in this city, and I love walking through the old city, which has really narrow streets filled with history.
The most interesting place I visited this week was the Christmas market in the city center. There were vendors selling materials to make nativity scenes, which is a very popular thing to do here, as well as lots of different kinds of food, such as crepes, dried fruit and nuts, chocolate and lots of other tasty things.
