This week the weather has been unusual because it rained! Most days in Córdoba are bright and sunny. But fall has arrived, and the temperatures ranged from lows in the 40s to highs in the 60s.
I went on a hike this week in Santa Maria de Trassierra, which is a neighborhood right outside of Córdoba in the trassierra, or small mountains. While hiking, I walked past a tree that was filled with so many bees that it sounded like a live engine! I also saw some horses and other farm animals on our way to the trail.
The coolest thing I saw in nature this week were the Baños de Popea or the Baths of Poppaea Sabina. The story goes that this site was a popular hangout for a group of poets during the Franco dictatorship because it was hidden from the all-seeing eyes of the government.
