Hungarian is the main language that is spoken. Some people here speak English as well.
The money used in Hungary is Hungarian forints or HUFs. The conversion rate is about 250 Forints to one U.S. dollar. The money is very colorful, and I like it more than U.S. currency because of that.
A bottle of water only costs around 150-200 forints. It is cheaper than a dollar.
The best meal I had this week was Hungarian goulash. It is a special type of stew with potatoes, carrots, garlic, and beef. It warms you up and has a great spice to it.
I got to hear traditional folk music this weekend at a harvest festival.
The most fun activity this week was attending the traditional harvest festival. The townspeople go from town to town and have a grand time. They celebrate with dance and food, and once everyone is full and satisfied they move to the next town.
