I went to Girona this weekend which is a little over 50 miles away from Barcelona!
I've traveled to some different countries in Europe and cities within Spain. For out-of-country travels, I've flown to Milan and Nice so far. From Barcelona, Milan is about 450–460 miles away and Nice is about 300–310 miles away. I've also visited various cities in Spain such as Tarragona, Montserrat, Sitges, Madrid, and now Girona.
I use the metro to get to all of my classes and other places I want to go to because my dorm is in a very residential area. For one of my classes, I have to take 2 different metro trains to get there, so it takes me about an hour of commuting total for one way! I also walk a lot, averaging around 11,000 steps per day when I spend the whole week in Barcelona.
This weekend, I took a day trip to Girona with my friend! We took the high-speed train and it took less than an hour to get there. Girona had a very calm vibe and beautiful medieval architecture. We visited all of the most popular spots like where they filmed parts of Game of Thrones in front of the Girona Cathedral.
