The weather this week was very typical Singaporean weather. It's generally very hot and humid, but most days it will rain for an hour more or less, so it cools down a bit at times. I can certainly feel that, on average, it's much cooler outside than it was just a month ago. The fall and winter months tend to have a lot more rain than the summer months! Luckily, when it rains there are large roofs over the walkways that keep us dry!
I saw a few animals that I typically see on my daily routine. There is a small black cat that I saw several days in a row right outside my building! Sometimes students walking by will feed the cat or just watch as it rummages through the grass (probably looking for food). Right on our window in our apartment, I saw what looked like a praying mantis! It scared me because it was a very large insect, but upon closer inspection (when I built up the courage to get close), I realized it was a praying mantis and was probably good to keep around.
