Hi! I am Steven Escobar-Mendez, and I am originally from Washington D.C. I am a current student at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania. At Lehigh, I am studying political science and global studies. Growing up in a diverse community, I was always curious to hear stories of places beyond my community. I wanted to explore more of the world and better understand how other people lived.
I decided to gain firsthand experiences by studying abroad in Amman, Jordan and Kathmandu, Nepal. Even as I studied issues of human rights in each place, I took the opportunity to explore both cultures through their food, music and traditions. Traveling this year has been incredible. I am very happy to share these experiences with you and make YOU a part of this story as well. Let's go!
