Hi guys, I hope you are all doing well and getting excited for summer break! Summer is right around the corner, and for me, that means my time here in Salamanca is coming to an end. I will be leaving Spain on May 8th to head back home to Louisville. I am really excited to be back and can't wait to see my family and friends.

At the same time, it's hard to leave Salamanca. I will miss walking through the streets, the Spanish food, my host family and my life here. It has been so different from what I am used to back home but definitely a life changing experience. This place has introduced me to incredible people and given me so many memories that  I will always carry with me.

You all have been a great part of my journey as well. I really enjoyed sharing my life abroad with you, and talking and writing about Salamanca helped me appreciate it even more, realizing just how beautiful this place is.

When I first came to Salamanca, I wasn't sure if it was the right place for me, and I struggled a lot with the language. My host mom only speaks Spanish, so communication was difficult at first. But over time, I grew: I came to Salamanca as a scared girl, but I am going back as a more confident and experienced woman.
