The weather this week in Taipei was warm and humid, with mostly cloudy skies and some sunshine peeking through the clouds. There was a light breeze at times, but the air felt very sticky. As the Typhoon Champi approaches, it brings changing weather, rain and stronger winds at the end of this week. Taiwan’s weather can change quickly with this typhoon coming, so I definitely carry an umbrella and check the forecast before heading out for the day.
This week, I spotted squirrels with dark brown and black fur running around my college campus. During my hike near Wulai Falls, I also noticed lots of interesting insects, including fuzzy caterpillars and long-legged spiders. It was exciting to see how many different creatures live in Taiwan’s natural environment!
The coolest thing I saw this week was Wulai Falls! I got to admire the beautiful, clear blue water flowing down the rocks, surrounded by greenery. Hiking through nature with my friends made the experience even more special.
