Hello everyone! My name is Syarra Goldstein, and I am 19 years old. I have lived in a few different states including Iowa, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Nevada, and I now attend university in Syracuse, New York. It was from all this moving around and getting to know a lot of different people that I discovered my love for learning about other cultures. Now, at college, I study International Relations, Middle Eastern Studies, and Biology. One of my favorite hobbies is learning new languages. I currently speak six different languages: English, Spanish, Persian, Bosnian, Arabic, and French.
During this semester I will be living in Amman, Jordan with a host family and will be attending classes to practice my Arabic and build on the three semesters of Arabic I have taken at college as well as learn more about the region. I am thrilled to be sharing my adventures here with you!
