This week I traveled to Samaná which is on the other side of the island. It took me about 6 hours to get to the capital and then another 4 to get to Samaná.
Esta semana fui a Samaná, un pueblo que está al otro lado de la isla. Viajé seis horas en guagua desde mi pueblo hasta la capital. Después, otras 4 más horas para llegar a Samaná.
The furthest trip I have gone on since arriving in the DR was my trip to Italy. My sister completed her last semester of college abroad so I flew over there to celebrate with her. I had two connected flights with the longest being about 10 hours. This trip was almost 5,000 miles. However, within the DR I have had the opportunity to travel around different parts of the island. I have been to Barahona, Santiago, La Romana, and the capital Santo Domingo.
El viaje más grande desde que llegué al país fue mi viaje a Italia. Mi hermana terminó su último semestre de la universidad allí, así que volé a Italia para celebrar con ella. Este viaje fue de más o menos 5,000 millas. Sin embargo, dentro de la RD, he tenido la oportunidad de viajar a diferentes partes de la isla. He ido a Barahona, Santiago, La Romana y a la capital, Santo Domingo.
