To help me process my different experiences, emotions and adventures, I bought a journal and try to write often. It has been really helpful for me. Even though I have not left Bulgaria yet, I have looked back at some of my first journal entries and realized how much I have changed. Being in Bulgaria has been a journey full of new growth and understanding.
Bulgaria was my first living abroad experience and it gave me a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to grow not only as a teacher but as a student as well. I believe traveling to other countries is sometimes the most challenging, but also the most rewarding (or beneficial) opportunity. If you get the chance to travel, take it. Even if you do not go overseas, be open to exploring new places and saying "yes" to new things.
I have really enjoyed writing to you all and hope you have learned something new about Bulgaria. Maybe one day you get to travel to Bulgaria and experience this beautiful, wonderful country for yourself. In the meantime, have a great summer vacation! Thank you for joining me on my journey!
