Hello, travelers! My name is Tim, and I'm so excited to be your guide as the Reach the World Travel Club heads to Greece and Turkey on a nine-day adventure. We are truly going to travel back in time together. What does that mean? I'll explain, but first, let me tell you a little about me.
I grew up in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, right along the shore of Lake Michigan. I had a lot of hobbies as a kid, ranging from playing soccer to singing in school musicals to exploring the woods behind my house. I started learning German in middle school, and I spent the second half of my junior year of high school living in Germany with a wonderful exchange family. I attended a German school, spoke German with my new friends, and got to experience a culture that was both similar to and different from my regular life back in Wisconsin. From then on, all I wanted to do was see more of the world!
I went to college in Indiana, where I got to take a study trip to China and then study abroad (again) in Ireland. As soon as I graduated, I moved to New York City and went to work as a travel writer at a magazine called Travel Savvy. I was lucky to see a lot of the world this way, and it made me want to get young students as excited about other countries and cultures as I was.
