The Greek Isles are famous for the color of their water. When the sun is shining (which is almost always) and it's not too windy, it looks like the water in harbors and along coastlines is made up of dozens of shades of blue. Many of the islands we've visited have been fairly dry and rocky, so the contrast of the brown land against the sparking blue sea makes the sea look even more spectacular. It made me want to jump in!
Many students have asked about the cats of Greece, and I have been looking for them wherever I go. I overheard another passenger say she lost count of the cats she has seen after reaching 100! While it may make you sad to think that so many cats don't have homes, I have seen that the cats have a pretty good life. It never gets very cold here, and fellow cat-lovers have build small houses for the cats in alleys where they can have some shelter and take a long nap.
