The briefing sheet talks about the anticipated weather for the next day, the highlights of the next destination, and it outlines all the fun excursions passengers can choose from for the coming day. I read this sheet very closely because it helps me feel prepared for the next day.
I didn't play any sports this week, but each day has been very active. There is so much to see, and I really like walking around the charming streets of the Greek villages we are visiting. I have walked a few miles each day. The closest thing to a sport I've done is navigating some of the crowds at popular tourism sites.
The crew of Le Bougainville is very international. They come from France, the Phillipines, Indonesia, Russia, Ukraine, Romania, and Lebanon, to name a few other countries. The captain of the vessel is Remy Genevaz. He has been a captain for 32 years (!), and has worked on ships even longer than that. He is in charge of making sure the ship gets safely from one place to the next. The ship also has a doctor (with his own small hospital area), engineers, housekeeping staff (like a hotel), restaurant staff, more. It take a lot of people to keep a ship like Le Bougainville operating smoothly.
