I have traveled 4,687 miles by plane and I have walked a lot this week! I flew from the airport in San Francisco to Chicago, then to Madrid and finally to Marrakesh, Morocco!
Thus far, I have not gone very far! I just arrived in the medina; therefore, I am just getting adjusted to start a new adventure!
I was able to get around this week by taxi and walking. My host sister and I took a taxi to the medina which is a 15-minute car ride from our house. However, when I come back from school, I walk back home by myself. The walk is 20-minutes and it is a very relaxing walk.
The most interesting place that I visited was the old medina where I was able to see a very touristic place in Marrakesh. There were a lot of stands of food, art, music and clothes. It is a very beautiful place because there is something to do for everyone. I was able to see the medina at night and in the day time. They are two very different places depending on the time. There are more things in the morning, but at night you can see all of the lanterns with light.
